This handsome map of India extends to include a portion of present-day Pakistan. The Indian subcontinent is dense with place names, rivers, and roads and includes some topographical detail, but as it extends into Persia, Tibet, and China, the detail falls away. An inset focuses on Sri Lanka. Four distance scales appear below the simple circular title cartouche.
