This charming engraving depicts the northern coastline of Africa from Morocco to Egypt, divided into two maps. A number of cities are depicted along the coast, and a mountain range serves as the southern border of the region. Pierre Duval was Nicolas Sanson's nephew and pupil. He published a wide range of atlases and individual maps including a fine miniature world geography with many of the maps based on Sanson.
