This reference traces the cartographic history of Maryland from its appearance on John Smith's 1608 Virginia map into the early twentieth century. It covers all the most notable maps of the state with an informative description to provide context for each one. The book includes 141 reproductions, 15 of which appear in full color. Hardbound in black and white cloth with an embossed insignia on the front cover and gilt titles on the spine. Also includes an illustrated dust jacket protected by Mylar. 127 pp. Condition: Contents fine. Covers are lightly foxed with some minor wear. The dust jacket has light soiling and wear.

Bramucci, and Robert J.H. Janson-La Palme, published 1983, black & white (11.1 x 8.6"). This informative catalog describes the maps of Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay shown in the exhibit honoring George Washington for the 200th anniversary of Washington College. The introduction highlights two maps by Washington. The remainder of the text features 58 additional maps of the region with corresponding descriptions and black and white illustrations. Bound in beige pictorial paper covers. 102 pp. Condition: Contents clean. The hinge is starting at front and back. There is light soiling and wear to the covers.
