This geological map was included in the Official Topographical Atlas of Massachusetts, published by Walling & Gray. Compiled by C.H. Hitchcock, Professor of Geology at Dartmouth College, the map uses hand-coloring to depict 24 different geological types and also identifies coal beds, iron, lead, copper and zinc. Includes descriptive text on both recto and verso.
