This rare sea chart depicts the passages between Hispaniola, Cuba, Jamaica, and several other small surrounding islands. Only a few place names are noted along the coasts. The Tropic of Cancer is marked prominently on the map, which is embellished with a large compass rose orienting north to the left and a title cartouche flanked by a European and two native figures.
