This charming small map depicts the county of Essex, with London depicted at bottom left. This map only appeared in the 1651 German edition of Mercator's Atlas Minor, published by Jan Jansson, and is thus quite uncommon. Engraved by Pieter van den Keere. German text on verso.

Condition: A

A dark impression with minor show-through of text on verso and scattered foxing confined to the blank margins.
