This map depicts the region between Gothenburg, Sweden and Fredrikstad, Norway, detailing towns, roads, and the intricate systems of islands along the coastline. The map includes four large insets showing bird's-eye views of Marstrandt on Orust and Bahus (northeast of Gothenburg) and fortification plans of Gothenburg and Wennerburg. Four large ships sail in the Skagerrak, and the title cartouche features lion atop a fortification and two mermen.
