This lot includes a bifolium and a single sheet from a chapter on the "Introduction on Cosmography" in Mercator's Atlas. Included on these sheets are two diagrams of the solar system based on Ptolemy and Copernicus, an elaborate 32-point wind rose, and a diagram showing the various imaginary "circles" associated with a globe, such as the equinoctial, horizon, meridian, etc.
