Charming small map of the Russian Empire in Eastern Europe. It covers the region from Scandinavia and Poland to the Ural Mountains. It has nicely detailed pictorial topography, including forests, towns, and mountains. The map is embellished with two strapwork cartouches. From the English edition of Mercator's Atlas Minor, which was published under the title Historia Mundi or Mercators Atlas by Michael Spark and Samuel Cartwright. English text on verso.
