An attractive map which details Florida a decade prior to attaining statehood. County configuration is current to 1834 with Hillsborough appearing along the Gulf Coast and a huge Mosquito County dominating the east. Lake Okeechobee (here Lake Macaco) is incorrectly located, which was a common error on maps of this period because the region was largely unexplored. Several Spanish land grants are named and identified including Arredondos, Mirandas, and Delespines. An inset on the same scale depicts the western panhandle. Accompanied by a page of related text from Bradford's atlas.
