This rare and handsome bird's-eye plan of Paris gives good detail of the street pattern and surrounding countryside. The plan is clearly copied from Nicolas de Fer's plan of the same name, which included elaborate cartouches in each of the four corners - here left blank, with the exception of the title printed in block letters. The bookbinder's instructions are at top right: "Tome Premier Pag 11." Swissbib identifies this map as having been published in Erasme Kinkius' L'Espion dans les Cours des Princes Chrétiens in 1715, although no image is included and we were not able to find corroborating evidence.
