A. Lower Egypt, by Aaron Jr. and Samuel Arrowsmith, dated 1825, hand color (11.8 x 8.9"). A detailed map of northern Egypt following the path of the Nile and spanning the region from Alexandria to Damietta. Highly detailed, it locates several roads linking Cairo to Suez. Filled with notations, especially along the Mediterranean coast. Condition: Original color with a few faint spots.

B. Egypt, by SDUK Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge, dated 1831, black & white (11.9 x 14.4"). A handsome map detailing the region from the mouth of the Nile to Korosko in the southern portion of Egypt. An inset at lower left shows a continuation of the Nile River. The map locates scores of villages and settlements along the Nile and includes a translation of Arab terms used on the map.
