This complete atlas contains 51 single-page maps including the world (3), Europe (22), Asia (8), Africa (3), Americas (10), Australia (5), as well as a comparative chart of rivers and mountains. The map of North America still shows Texas as a part of Mexico, and the United States claims in the Pacific Northwest extend well north into Canada, which is unusual for a British atlas. Features detailed maps of Van Dieman's Land and New Zealand. Includes a 14 page index. Quarter leather and tips over cloth boards with paper label on front cover. Published in London by William S. Orr & Co. on Paternoster Row.

The maps are overall very good to near fine with occasional foxing. The title page and table of contents are moderately foxed. Covers are moderately worn with a chip on the front cover. A previous owner's stamp is on the front cover.
