Charming matching set of miniature maps. The world map depicts a strange North America with a large sea protruding into the western coastline and no Baja Peninsula. On the Americas map, North America is shown in the more typical format for the period and a small cartouche covers the western coast with a note concerning the discoveries of Admiral de Fuentes. The map of Africa is sparsely detailed without the spurious cartography found on most maps of the eighteenth century. The Asian map provides a good view of the continental outline. The most interesting feature of this map is a huge region labeled Des Eleuths. The map of Europe shows the major political divisions.

There is a bit of foxing in the blank margins of a couple of the maps.
