This rare sheet includes 9 engravings related to the War of Spanish Succession in 1708. The engravings include the French raid on Scotland, the Battle of Oudenarde, the arrival of Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel in Spain for her marriage to King Charles III, the Siege of Lille, the invasion of Sardinia, the capture of Exilles and Fenestrelle in Italy, the capture of Minorca, and the French conquer of Ghent and Bruges in Belgium. A remarkable and rarely seen issue, even more rarely found printed in sepia ink, as with this example.
