This lovely regional map is is oriented to the west, surrounded by a frame-style border, and embellished by three ornate cartouches. The cartography is based on Marcus Secznagel. This is the second of Ortelius' maps of the region surrounding Salzburg, which replaced the first plate in 1592. This second plate is less common than the first plate. French text on verso.

A sharp impression on a clean, bright sheet bearing the horn watermark commonly found on Ortelius maps. There is light toning along the edges of the sheet and a manuscript page number below the neatline.
