This is the richly illustrated catalogue for the Historical Association of Southern Florida's exhibit of the Cuban views of Pierre Toussaint Frederic Mialhe. Mialhe arrived in Havana in 1838 with an assignment to produce views for the Real Sociedad Patriotica. He stayed in Cuba until 1854, publishing albums of lithographs and teaching drawing at the Liceo Literario y Artistico. Prepared by Emilio Cueto, an expert on Cuban culture and an enthusiastic collector of Cuban memorabilia, the book also includes an essay introducing Mialhe's work in Cuba, a section focused on works inspired by Miahle, and a bibliography of works featuring views similar to the artist's. The book is filled with illustrations, several in color. 132 pp. Soft illustrated covers.
