This lovely small map is centered on Oxford and depicts the county of Oxfordshire. Dozens of small towns are shown and the Thames River is prominently illustrated. A large, decorative title cartouche completes the composition. German text on verso. This map is very rare as it only appeared in the last two editions of Jansson's Atlas Minor in 1648-51.
