This delicately engraved map is filled with details of political boundaries, rivers, mountains, and towns. A color-coded legend at bottom right identifies the regions of the Swiss, their subjects, their allies, and the subjects of the Grisons region, which was an ally of Switzerland at the time and didn't become part of the Republic until 1798. The large decorative title cartouche fills the top left corner. The map was engraved by E. Dussy and the cartouche by Arrivet. This is the first state.
