This map appeared in the miniature Speed atlas, A Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World, published by William Humble. Engraved by Pieter van den Keere, the map was based on the folio map by Abraham Goos in 1626. California is shown as an island with a flat northern coastline and a number of place names along the coast. There is no French presence noted in North America, and Newe Ing. Land is actually located north of the St. Lawrence River. In addition to Plymuth, the cities of Tali and Astatlan are also shown in North America. A large southern continent appears at bottom, labeled The Onknowne World. English text on verso.
