This is the first edition of Louis A. Holman's brief but insightful overview of the art of cartography. It discusses many notable cartographers, including Ptolemy, Ortelius, Blaeu, and Speed. The book contains 20 illustrations, many of which are in color. Published in Boston by Charles Eliot Goodspeed, a legend on the American antiquarian book scene. Paperback, 52 pages.
