A fleet of ships is gathered off Pevensey Bay on this superb county map of Sussex. The map is filled with detail of the countryside including forests, parks, windmills, cities and villages. Flanking the title cartouche are the royal arms and the arms of four earls. This is the second state of the map with cardinal directions added at the borders. French text on verso published between 1646-48.

A nice impression with some toning and scattered foxing.
