A beautifully engraved map of Dorset decorated with coat of arms and 3 crests with ribbons carrying family names (one is blank). The map follows the typically grand production by Blaeu with good detail of the countryside and elaborate embellishments, including a distance scale built into the strapwork title cartouche and several ships in the sea. Latin text on verso, published between 1646-62.

Condition: B+
On watermarked paper with original outline color in the map and later color in the decorative elements. There is minor color offsetting to the right of the title cartouche and a few minor extraneous creases. A short centerfold separation at top and a few edge tears are all confined to the wide blank margins.
