This striking map of the Northeast extends from Philadelphia up the coast to Ile d'Anticosti and the mouth of the St. Lawrence, and inland to show part of Lake Ontario. Fine detail, particularly along the Hudson River, locates scores of towns and villages and shows roads, mountains, and watershed. There are four distance scales at upper left and a simple block-style title cartouche. Longitude is measured from Paris on the lower scale and from Isle de Fer at top. Engraved by Tardieu with lettering by Andre and published by Chanlaire & Mentelle.

A sharp impression on bluish paper with a small rust spot by Nova Scotia, and a tiny worm hole that is only visible when held up to light. A couple edge tears in the bottom left blank margin have been closed with old paper on verso.
