This copper engraved map details the Guangdong province and Hainan Island with wonderful detail of cities plus watershed and topography. The important cities of Guangzhou (Canton) and Macau are identified. Beautifully decorated with an elaborate Chinoiseri title cartouche with a European trader negotiating with a Chinese man. Blank verso.

A sharp impression on a clean, bright sheet with wide margins and the watermarks of a fleur-de-lis coat of arms and "HONIG." There are professional repairs to a few very minor separations and one tiny hole along the centerfold.
