This ornate and intricately engraved title page comes from Mortier's reprint of Blaeu's Townbooks of Italy. The engraving is dominated by a crowned female figure regarding a mirror, with a series of coats-of-arms next to her. Behind her there are symbols of military might and a breathtaking landscape. An inset at bottom left contains a small view of Venice.
