This uncommon map of Hawaii is from a report compiled by the Royal Geographical Society to accompany a paper written by Louis Désiré Maigret, the bishop of Honolulu. The map is quite accurate and extends to Niihau, with Hilo Bay, Diamond Head, Waimea Bay, and the volcano of Mauna Loa (with elevation) noted. Published by J. Murray for the Royal Geographical Society in London.
