A detailed map of the state delineated by county with surveying efforts nearly complete. It presents an expanding wagon road network with railroads beginning to appear in the southeast corner. Includes the inset "Vicinity of Milwaukee" at bottom left. The map is surrounded by Colton's distinctive strapwork border.
