This is a rare view from Schenk's important town atlas. This striking view of Nombre de Dios shows a variety of ships with the large galleon in the foreground firing its cannon. Nombre de Dios was located east of Portobelo along the northern coast of Panama, and was established to protect the Spanish Silver fleet.
