In Arrowsmith's fashion, this is a remarkably detailed and finely engraved chart of the continent. It is absolutely filled with topographical detail throughout the interior, hundreds of towns and villages, and an amazing amount of information along the coastlines. Insets of the Galapagos Islands, Port San Carlos, Falkland Islands, and a large inset that delineates Patagonia with more detail than possible on the main map. Three distance scales are provided: English miles, and Spanish and Portuguese leagues.

A fine impression with original outline color. There is some light printer's ink residue and a centerfold separation confined to the right blank margin.
