This lot contains three detailed radio maps of the United States from the 1920s including:
A. Radio Map of the United States, by the Kenyon Company, dated 1924 (20.8 x 13.0"). This map is divided into 9 radio districts and shows numerous radio stations across the country. The map also identifies the sponsor of the map, Bankers Life Company, with concentric circles radiating out from Des Moines, Iowa. Folds into yellow paper wrappers and accompanied a personal log and list of radio stations. Condition: Condition code is for the map, which is clean and colorful. Paper wrappers have light soiling. B. Cram's Detailed Radio Map of the United States & Canada, by George F. Cram & Company, published 1924 (29.1 x 19.3"). A remarkable pocket map designed to assist in the location of radio stations (AM) across the United States and southern Canada. Contains an extensive list of nearly 1,000 radio stations with the call sign, frequency and location of each. Includes a large inset of North America with red overprinting. Includes a 14-page radio log and folds into salmon-colored paper wrappers. Condition: Minor staining at left where the map was adhered to the wrapper, otherwise fine. (A)
C. Cram's Detailed Radio Map of the United States & Canada, by George F. Cram & Company, circa 1924 (29.0 x 19.3"). A very similar map to the above showing radio stations across the United States and southern Canada. Condition: Trimmed to the neatline at left and at bottom with the index missing. There are a few light stains in the image at bottom left. (B)
