This large folding map extends from the eastern seaboard to the Rocky Mountains, including eastern Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. The emphasis of the map is the evolving railroad network with numerous advertisements along its border and on verso dedicated to businesses in New Jersey. Includes inset maps Vicinity of Boston and Vicinity of New York and Philadelphia at lower right. Produced by Rand McNally and published by Hannifan & Company in Buffalo, NY. The map folds into stiff red boards (9.3 x 4.7") with additional advertisements on both the front and back covers.

The map has a number of fold separations closed on verso with archival tape and a few minor areas of loss at the fold junctions. The sheet appears to have been glued down in reverse, as the map is actually adhered to the front board and obscuring a 1.5" section of map along the left border. Covers are moderately worn.
