This playful map of the United States depicts no physical geography or political boundaries, but instead presents the legend of Paul Bunyan through a series of "Deeds and Exploits." It is filled with humorous notes and illustrations including: "The Mississippi Was Caused By A Leak In One Of Paul's Water Wagons"; "One Lunch Hour, After Eating, Paul Built What Is Now Called The Natural Bridge"; and "Paul's Briny Tears Filled Salt Lake With It's Salty Water." A vignette at bottom shows Paul playing golf with rocks from south Texas to Florida, with a note stating this "was the beginning of golf in this country." Paul's supporting cast is depicted at bottom including Sourdough Sam, Shot Gunderson, Johnny Inkslinger, Big Ole, and Chris Crosshaul. Created and published by R.D. Handy in Duluth, Minnesota.
