This massive lithograph was printed on two sheets and boldly presents the geology of the state. Compiled by N.H. Darton, the map brilliantly illustrates 22 different geological groups through a combination of color and texture. The underlying base map provides additional information on Indian reservations, military reservations, national forests, railroads, and more.

Issued folding on clean sheets with vivid color and no fold separations. There are three stamps on verso for "Rijks Geologische Dienst" (state geological service) in Haarlem. The first image is a composite image - this map is in 2 separate sheets.
