This map was published as a special supplement to the May 14, 1934 issue of The Oil Weekly and accompanies the article "Discoveries Required to Maintain Status of Production in Oklahoma" by Robert Dott. The map is divided into 11 geological districts and prominently depicts both oil and gas fields, which are most prominent in the northeastern part of the state. An inset of the panhandle is shown on the same scale.
