This is the northern third of a massive 81 panel folding map of England, Wales, and southern Scotland. This section extends from Northumberland, Cumberland, and Durham in England north to Argyll and Perthshire in Scotland. The map is absolutely filled with details including roads, canals, churches, towns, cities, parks and more. Topography is boldly depicted by hachure. Includes a general map of Britain at right (used for his atlas version of this map), dedication cartouche, and explanatory key. Published in 1824 and revised in 1828 by George & John Cary at No. 86 St. James's Street. Dissected and backed in original linen. Self-folding into green cloth covers with paper labels.
