Based on the work of Visscher, this attractive map depicts the Holy Land in great detail. The track of Apostle Paul from Jerusalem to Rome is shown in the Mediterranean Sea. The map is embellished with three cartouches, two being held aloft by putti. A key in the cartouche at top left identifies cities of refuge, key sites in the Exodus, kingly cities, Levitical cities, common cities, castles, and villages. Engraved by Richard Palmer.
