This untitled map is prominently featured on the front page of the August 5th, 1865 edition of the New York Tribune. It shows the line of the Atlantic cable, steamer tracks, and some interesting western territorial configurations. Washington is in its inverted "L" shape, Utah spans between California and Kansas, and Arizona is in its confederate configuration occupying the southern portion of New Mexico. Despite the map's large size, there is surprisingly no related text. Includes a fascinating Civil War article "The Decline and Fall of the Southern Confederacy" and other news of the day. Uncut.

A very clean example with some light extraneous creasing, otherwise fine.
