This decorative map of Coconut Grove is by local artists Ken and Ursula Hughs and was printed by L&M Graphics. The neighborhood is shown in bird's-eye view, with roads, buildings, palm trees, sailboats, and more rendered in fine detail. An ornate cartouche at left contains text describing the "state of mind" that is "the Grove." Vignettes surround the map showing interesting local haunts, historical homes, wildlife, boats, and portraits of early residents such as yacht designer Ralph Middleton Munroe and Flora McFarlane, the founder of the Woman's Club of Coconut Grove. A fascinating map that is clearly the work of locals who know and love the neighborhood.
