Founded as Tata Airlines by J. R. D. Tata in 1932, the airline was renamed Air India after WWII. This souvenir map shows the airline's expansion into Europe, Africa, Australia, and even the United States with one route to New York City. Tables on the map list various routes with the total distances. On verso are strip maps depicting individual routes throughout the world. The airline's mascot, the Maharajah, is featured on the covers of the map. While the copyright date is 1964, this fifth edition was printed in 1969. Published by Esselte Map Service, Sweden and printed in India by Prasad Process Pvt. Ltd.
