This uncommon and elegantly engraved map of Tuscany features nice topographical detail of the region's hills and mountains. Numerous rivers, towns, and cities are identified. Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, and Perugia are depicted in miniature plan form. Two ships appear in the Ligurian Sea. There are two ornate cartouches in the bottom corners: at left, a dedication cartouche to Theodorus Hasselaer, and at right, a title cartouche with a royal figure, a full suit of armor, and a lion. Latin text on verso, published between 1644-55.
