This large two-sheet pocket map depicts the United States just a few years before a number of northwestern states achieved statehood. Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Utah and Oklahoma remain territories, with Oklahoma still named Indian Territory. There is good detail of towns, roads, and railroads throughout the country, including the recently completed Northern Pacific Railroad extending through Montana and into Washington. Issued folding on two separate sheets of banknote style paper, folding into brown cloth-covered boards with gilt titling.
