This is a German copy of Bellin's small map of the island of Saint Lucia in the Lesser Antilles. The map is intricately engraved to show topographical details, place names, a road that runs the length of the island to the town of Soufriere, and the minute coastal detail for which Bellin is renowned. It is nicely decorated with a rococo-style cartouche. A small fleur-de-lis orients North to the left. This map appeared in Schauplatz des Gegenwaertigen Kriegs published in 1757-64 and in Geschichte der Kriege in und ausser Europa in 1779.
