This handsome map depicts the present-day region of Extremadura, bounded by the cities of Bajajoz, Salamanca, and Talavera de la Reina and the border with Portugal. The map is fully engraved with hundreds of cities, mountain ranges, and rivers. This is the western half of a two-sheet map engraved by Antonio Barbey and published by Rossi's heir, Domenico de Rossi.
