This handsome map of Sardinia provides excellent detail of the island's mountainous topography. Political divisions are delineated, and towns and cities, rivers, forts, and mines of gold, iron, copper, and more are identified. Locations of battles are marked with swords and the date of the battle. A note adjacent to San Pietro Island refers to the Genoese emigrants from the colony of Tabarka in Tunisia who populated the island. Another note at right lists the various nations that possessed the island. A decorative title cartouche adorns the top left corner.

A nice impression with contemporary outline color on paper with the watermark of a Masonic cross encircled by rosary beads. There is light offsetting, scattered foxing, and two small worm holes along the centerfold at right that have been closed with old paper on verso.
