This lot includes two pamphlet flight maps from the top Brazilian airlines of their era. Both feature two maps, one delineating Brazilian routes and the other focusing on international travel. Each is decorated with vibrant illustrations.
A. Rotas da Panair do Brasil, by Panair do Brasil, circa 1955 (17.3 x 23.9"). This pamphlet was published around the airline's 25th anniversary. At the time, Panair do Brasil was not only the largest airline in Brazil, but also in all of Latin America. Condition: Issued folding with light scattered foxing, some minor wear along the folds, and a couple short splits at fold intersections.
B. Mapa de Rotas Varig Routes Map, by Varig, circa 1970 (16.3 x 15.5"). Varig was Brazil's first airline, and after Panair do Brasil shuttered in 1965, it became the nation's leading airline. Text is in both English and Portuguese. Condition: Issued folding with short fold separations and some light toning around some of the folds.
