This is Hondius' updated version of Mercator's great map of the southeast region of England, including the British Channel and London. The map includes London, Kent, Oxford and Cambridge, as it covers the region between Norwich in the north and west to beyond the Isle of Wight. Embellished with a fine strapwork cartouche. English text on verso. This map is quite rare as it was only published in 3 editions of Hondius' Atlas, including only one edition in English.

A clean and bright example with a nice impression. There is a small stain at top right, a printer's crease adjacent to the centerfold, and a long centerfold separation at bottom that has been archivally repaired.
