This handsome sea chart of eastern Scotland extends from Edinburgh north to Aberdeen and the Orkney Islands. It features good coastal detail including rivers, towns, anchorages and soundings. North is oriented to the right and is marked by two compass roses with fleur-de-lis. Adorned by decorative title and distance scale cartouches and both a sailing ship and sea monster in the surrounding waters.
