This elegant and detailed view of the city of Manisa in Turkey was first published in Dapper's Naukeurige Beschryving van Asie... (1680) with narrower margins. The foreground is filled with lines of travelers in local dress with camels and livestock. The city appears in impressive detail before a hilly backdrop. Drawn by Charles Vasteau.
