A very detailed map covering the region from San Diego north to Big Sur and east to Yuma and Las Vegas. Issued by the Randall Motor Club, it is superior to the Automobile Club of Southern California maps of the period. The comprehensive map shows not only various types of roads, but also topography, water wells, springs and oil fields. This is a predecessor to a very similar map by Jack Renie, a prominent L.A. mapmaker in the 1940s, entitled "Renie's Map of Monterey to Mexico Southern California." This example predates Renie's map as "airports" are absent from the legend, and the "All American Canal" east of the Salton Sea is shown as proposed. Self-folding. No examples located in OCLC or elsewhere.
